Calling all Senior Golfers!
The Seniors’ Christmas Greensomes will be played on Tuesday, 13th December.
This is a drawn pairs Greensomes competition with a shot gun start set for 8.30am. The competition will be followed by a two course Christmas Lunch at approximately 1345 and results and prizegiving. There will be a charity raffle in aid of Diabetes UK.
The cost for the competition entry and meal is £13. We are subsidising the cost of the meal and so this price offers incredible value for money – do come and join us on this special occasion!
Registration opens on 1st November.
Forest Members' Competition and Christmas Lunch
Our Forest only members are warmly invited to join with us for the Christmas meal at a cost of £10 per person (subsidised from £20- the full cost for 2 courses)

Knighton Heath Knockout
On 21st September the Seniors team played at Knighton Heath G.C. in the final of the prestigious Knighton Heath Trophy Plate and ran out winners by 5.5 to 4.5 against a Wareham Golf Club team where our players were giving away shots in virtually every match. We were blessed with good weather on a very good and fair course.
Congratulations to all concerned and our thanks to Knighton Heath for organising an excellent competition and hosting a very enjoyable finals day.
A special thank you to everyone that played in the earlier rounds, without whom we may not have made the final.
Important update regarding Tuesday competitions
From 1st November the Seniors will be changing the way the Two Divisions are calculated. Instead of a split at 18.4 Handicap the split will be made at 50/50 of the total field of the competition, which also reflects the way the prize money is split between the divisions.
This will have a marginal effect as most competitions are approximately 50/50 anyway. The reason for this change is to bring it in line with the way Golf Genius allocates players between divisions.
Seniors' Friendly Matches 2022
37 matches were played against the Senior sections of clubs from April until the beginning of October with Bramshaw winning 21, losing 14 and drawing 2.
